Fernando Montiel vs Angky Angkota Live Stream. Former three-division world titlist, Mexico’s Fernando Montiel (46-4-2, 36 KOs) will take on two-time former world title challenger, Angky Angkota (25-6, 14 KOs), in a ten-round junior featherweight bout Saturday night in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.

The 32-year-old Montiel is coming off a unanimous twelve-round decision loss to Victor Terrazas in November of last year and is just over one year removed from losing his WBC and WBO bantamweight titles via brutal TKO 2 loss to Nonito Donaire.

The former flyweight, super flyweight, and bantamweight titlist, Montiel, has scored victories over the likes of Z Gorres, Martin Castillo, Hozumi Hasegawa, and Nehomar Cermeno in his fifteen-year professional career. Montiel has also suffered high-profile losses to Donaire, Terrazas, Jhonny Gonzalez, and Mark “Too Sharp” Johnson.

Angkota, a native of Jakarta, Indonesia, is best known for a pair of losses to Jorge Arce (TD 7, UD 12) and a unanimous decision loss to AJ Banal. Angkota’s biggest win to date is a six-round technical decision over Sonny Boy Jaro in 2005.
