Kevin Harvick scored his 31st victory in 37 career by winning the 2007-National race. Harvick, who led twice for a race of 49 laps in the lead-high 33-Jeff Burton to win by 3.529 seconds. Pole sitter Kurt Busch finished third, which twice in 20 rounds.
In 2006, Kurt Busch crossed the finish line 0.558 seconds before Robby Gordon in his second round and final career title at the national level. This will be the 18th Nationwide race at Watkins Glen. Terry Labonte won four times in this race, Ron Fellows captured the event three times. When Ernie Irvan won the race in 1992, he started from the back 22 where the most a driver has started and won at the Glen. In ten trips around the track, Fellows has seven top-10 and captured the pole position twice. With Ambrose won last year's pole sitter now captured the race five times.
