The Formula One F1 series will race for the 20th time in the 2012 Brazil Grand Prix at the Interlagos Circuit in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The track completed in 2012 is a 2.677 mile / 4.309 km anti-clockwise road course with 15 turns and a lot of elevation changes. The track is expecting over 100,000 fans today.

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton took the Pole during yesterday's qualifying with his teammate Jenson Button completing the sweep of the front row.

And much like last week, the statistical odds are against Hamilton for the win.

When starting in the top-three, Hamilton has finished worse than where he started nine times out of 13 this season.

The Pole sitter has only won the Brazilian Grand Prix twice since 2000. Each time, the winner was Felipe Massa (2006 & 2008)

The second place starter has won at Brazil an amazing six times since 2000.

However, while Pole is a guaranteed win, you'll need to start third or better to have a real chance. Since 1991, the Brazilian Grand Prix has been won from third or higher 21 times in 23 attempts. The exceptions were the 2003 - Giancarlo Fisicella (started 8th), and 2001 David Coulthard (started fifth).

Red Bull's Mark Webber will be starting third and will have one mission, help his teammate and champion points leader Vettel win his championship.

Fernando Alonso and Ferrari had another horrid qualifying when it mattered - he qualified 8th, and will start 7th after a penalty pushed Pastor Maldonado (Williams) back 10 places on the grid - he qualified 6th.

Since the German Grand Prix in July when Alonso took Pole, his Ferrari hasn't started better than fourth. That's ten Grand Prix without the proper car to do battle for the 2012 Formula 1 F1 World driver's championship.

Vettel can clinch the championship today if Alonso finishes off the podium. He is currently 13 points behind, and fourth only pays 12 points.

Our pick for today's race should be Jenson Button due to the anti-Pole stat, but we fully expect a Lewis Hamilton win in his final Grand Prix GP for McLaren.

Sebastian Vettel will take the championship. We expect his alternator to hold up.

So enjoy! The Formula One F1 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix GP is about to begin!
