The event at Silverstone marks the end of the first half of 2011 season of World Championship FIA GT1, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Nissan and Ford all taking victory in the first four events in Abu Dhabi, Belgium, Portugal and Germany. The eight races held so far have all been of great power, sessions of the action-packed 1-hour with lots of action on the track to keep the fan running at their strongest on the edge of their seat.
Silverstone Supercar weekend has a special place in the world calendar GT1, because not only the home of British motorsport, it is also home to the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy, the oldest and one of the most prestigious trophies Motor Sport World II.
