Bari has suffered a blow before the trip to Bologna, Alessandro Parisi confirmation was made by two months.

Parisi was injured during the 1-1 draw on Wednesday in Genoa and the test revealed ligament damage in his left knee which will keep him out of action until April.

It is a further setback for Bari coach Giampaolo Ventura, who have already lost defender Andrea Ranocchia with a knee injury for the rest of the season.

"We knew that Paris was a shot taken by force but hoped that would not be too serious," he said Ventura.

With both sides having played in midweek, Ventura believes fatigue could be a factor in Sunday's game at the Stadium Renato Dall 'Ara.

"It's not easy to play every three days," said Ventura.

"My players have shown signs of fatigue in the game in Genoa, but we have to make an additional sacrifice and try to take a positive result in Bologna."

Their draw in midweek, which followed Bari 2-2 match against Inter Milan at the weekend gave Galletti to climb to ninth in the league.

Bari coach was satisfied with the result and hopes that his side can return to winning ways having claimed just one win so far this year.

"We won a good point in a difficult stage," said Ventura. At other times, we deserve much more than being kept in a draw, but this time I must say that Genoa does not deserve to lose.

"Now we must concentrate on getting three points at Bologna."

The promoted side are just two points behind Palermo, who last European qualifying spot, but Ventura insists his team's goals this season is to defend the Serie A status.

"European football? Our thoughts are to claim the points necessary to prevent the fall," said Ventura.

"Once we secured a place in first division in Italy for next season, then we can think about reaching other heights."

Bari, the first priority is to stop the rot in their travels.

Galletti's last victory on the road dating back to October 1919 when they beat Chievo 2-1 in Verona.

Since then, Ventura men have collected two points from six matches away from home.

Bologna Rivals look to atone for their match against Atalanta 2-2 in midweek.

Rossoblu thought they had received three points, while Marco Di Vaio couple gave them a 2-0 win in 34 minutes the game, but Atalanta fought to share the spoils.

The result left Rossoblu only three points clear of the drop zone.

Bologna coach Franco Colomba preferred to focus on the positive.

"We should have won this game, but after Atalanta scored his first goal, my team was struggling," said Colomba.

Now we have to move on and focus in Bari.

"It will not be easy because this is our third game this week."
