Australia's Casey Stoner was fastest at free practice yesterday for this weekend's Spanish MotoGP.Stoner admitted he was "pretty happy" with his two sessions on a track where he hasn't had much success in the past.

Honda rider Stoner, winner of the season-opening Qatar GP, clocked a combined 1min 39.551 sec for both sessions in windy conditions to put him 0.028 sec ahead of Spanish teammate Dani Pedrosa.
